IBV will have a new R&D laboratory facility at the forefront of Digital Humanism
The IBV and the UPV strengthen their collaboration to build a new floor of R&D laboratories on top of their current headquarters. The roof of the building will be replaced by 6 interconnected facilities equipped with the latest technologies for recording movements, forces, physiological variables, virtual and augmented reality. They will be able to emulate any scenario of people’s lives, such as a home, an autonomous car, a virtual operating theatre, a manufacturing line or a shopping centre. In these scenarios, people will be monitored and analysed, both from a physical and cognitive perspective, covering the physical and digital worlds (metaverse), to study the interaction between people and the interaction between people and technology (robots, virtual agents, etc.).
The IBV has funding from IVACE to develop its new R&D laboratories, opening up cutting-edge lines for the innovation and competitiveness of our companies.
This initiative will allow us to enrich the knowledge about the human body and its interaction with products and environments, the focus of the IBV since its origins in 1976, with that coming from the digital world, in which humanity is increasingly immersed. All this will position the IBV and the innovative companies and entities in its environment at the international forefront of Digital Humanism.
